Straightforward terms that protect both you and us. By booking or paying for services from SPF 1000 Window Tinting, you agree to the following.
Full payment or a deposit is required to secure a booking. Any payment less than the quoted amount is treated as a deposit, with the remaining balance due at time of service before work begins. Quotes generated by our online calculator are estimates; final pricing is confirmed by SPF 1000 prior to service.
Appointments may be rescheduled or cancelled with at least 24 hours notice for a full refund of any deposit. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice, or no-shows, forfeit the deposit. SPF 1000 reserves the right to reschedule due to weather conditions unsuitable for quality installation.
All installations are performed to accepted window film industry standards. Minor imperfections — including small dust particles, minor edge gaps (typically 1/16" to 1/8"), and light moisture haze during the curing period — are normal characteristics of professional window film installation and are not considered defects. Moisture and haze typically clear within 3–30 days depending on film type and weather.
Film is covered by the manufacturer's warranty (Geo Shield / Hitek) against bubbling, peeling, cracking, and discoloration per the manufacturer's terms. Workmanship is guaranteed by SPF 1000. Warranty claims require proof of purchase. Warranty does not cover damage from abrasion, improper cleaning, tampering, accidents, or removal by third parties.
SPF 1000 is not responsible for pre-existing damage including scratched glass, chipped glass, failing defroster lines, aftermarket glass defects, or deteriorated window seals. Old film removal may reveal pre-existing damage or leave adhesive residue on defroster lines; reasonable care will be taken but SPF 1000 is not liable for damage to defroster lines during removal of previously installed film.
The customer is solely responsible for ensuring their selected tint shade complies with California Vehicle Code Section 26708 and any applicable laws. SPF 1000 will advise on legal limits upon request, but the final shade selection and any resulting citations, fees, or required removal are the customer's responsibility.
Windows must remain rolled up for 3–5 days after installation. Do not clean the interior of tinted windows for 30 days. Use only ammonia-free cleaners and soft cloths. Damage resulting from failure to follow care instructions is not covered under warranty.
SPF 1000's total liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid for the service in question. SPF 1000 is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Customer vehicles and property are treated with professional care; any damage claims must be reported before the technician leaves the service location.
